Four students selected for Australian School BOYS Rugby Squad

文轩探花 is thrilled to announce the remarkable achievements of its rugby athletes during the recent Australian School鈥檚 Rugby Championships. Seven of our talented students took to the field at Sunshine Coast Stadium, representing Queensland and Grammar with passion and determination. Among them, four outstanding Year 12 students – Saxon Thompson, Nate Hepi, Zac Nichol and Blake Miller 鈥 have secured their place in the prestigious Australian School Rugby Squad.

Sunshine Coast Grammar emerged as the top performer at the prestigious competition, boasting the highest number of students from one school selected in the Australian team.

These exceptional young athletes are integral members of the Gramar Rugby Academy and key players in the school鈥檚 Roar Performance aspiring athlete program. Their hard work, resilience and commitment have earned them a coveted spot in the national squad.

The four players have vast experience representing the school and our region, with the athletes representing Sunshine Coast Stingray, Queensland School Boys, Queensland Reds and Australian Barbarian squads.

The success of our students reflects the commitment of our staff, specialist coaches and dedicated sports programs. 文轩探花 has consistently nurtured talent, honed skills and instilled a sense a sportsmanship. Our commitment to developing well-rounded student athletes extends beyond the field, emphasising character, teamwork and integrity.

Head Coach of Grammar Rugby, Mr Troy Atkins expressed his delight, 鈥淥ur students鈥 achievements exemplify the spirit of teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship that Sunshine Coast Grammar values. We wish all four students every success as they represent both our school and our country.鈥

As our Grammar rugby athletes prepare to compete in Fiji this September, we wish them every success and look forward to following their journey in the Australian jersey.
