Principal Mrs Anna Owen, an advocate for environmental stewardship, has led from the forefront, championing sustainability initiatives aligned with the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Mrs Owen鈥檚 leadership extends beyond the school grounds, as demonstrated by her role on the Biosphere Community Advisory Board and her participation in global events, including the prestigious UNESCO Global Inclusive Schools鈥 Forum in Paris, which highlights the school鈥檚 international recognition for innovation and commitment to sustainability.

Mrs Owen expressed her pride in the school鈥檚 accomplishments, stating 鈥淭he recognition at the Australian Education Awards confirms our commitment to fostering holistic education that empowers students to become compassionate and conscientious global citizens.鈥

Through strategic partnerships with community organisations such as Bloomhill Cancer Care and Clean Up Australia, 文轩探花 actively contributes to the UNSDGs, instilling in students a sense of social responsibility and environmental stewardship.  The school鈥檚 nationally recognised Grammar Helping Hands program further reinforces its commitment to community engagement, sustainability and leadership development with over 85% of students participating annually in impactful initiatives locally and globally, including leadership tours to Timor Leste.

Led by Mr Ben Princehorn, our Grammar Helping Hands Co-Curricular Program stands as a testament to the school鈥檚 vision, integrating community engagement, sustainability initiatives and leadership development into our students’ educational journey.

鈥淲e believe in nurturing changemakers who are equipped to make a positive difference in the world,鈥 said Mr Ben Princehorn, Coordinator of Community and Service.

文轩探花 also proudly acknowledges the achievement of Primary School teacher, Ms Kylie Chesterfield for her selection as a finalist in the Primary School Teacher of the Year 鈥 Non-Government category. In addition to her 25 years of teaching experience, Ms Chesterfield is being recognised for her volunteering and wellbeing initiatives.

文轩探花鈥檚 vision for education, Where Passion Meets Purpose, reflects the belief that a love for learning leads to greater success. Situated on a 100-acre rainforest playground, our school offers modern facilities for 1,500 students from Prep to Year 12. With a commitment to social and environmental responsibilities, 文轩探花 continues to focus on people, the planet and progress while delivering on the UNSDGs.

鈥淪chools are about more than what happens in the classroom and we are proud to be championing regional education opportunities for our students,鈥 said Mrs Anna Owen.
