Scholarships Program
The primary object of the Scholarship Program at ÎÄÐù̽»¨ is to attract and retain, students of outstanding academic ability and students who excel in particular fields such as music and sport. ÎÄÐù̽»¨ offers the following scholarships:
- Academic
- Music
- General Excellence
- Sporting Excellence
- Principal’s Scholarship
Scholarships awarded come into effect from the start of the following school year and are tenable for three years, subject to students meeting prescribed benchmarks. The Principal’s Scholarship is 100 per cent remission of Tuition Fees, while all other scholarships provide up to 50 per cent remission of Tuition Fees and are subject to the Principal’s approval.
We aim to attract to and retain, students of outstanding academic ability and students who excel in particular fields such as music and sport.
Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are offered for students entering Years 7 to 11 who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of:
1. examination success and
2. demonstrated academic achievement.
Exams will be held on 16th March.
General Excellence Scholarships
General Excellence Scholarships
General Excellence Scholarships are offered to students entering Years 7-11 who demonstrate high levels of academic achievement, evidence of leadership or community service and significant co-curricular participation.
Candidates for General Excellence Scholarship apply as Academic or Music candidates. The School reserves the right to award these scholarships to candidates from the Academic and Music pools.
Principal’s Scholarships

Principal’s Scholarship
Principal’s Scholarships are offered for students entering Years 7 to 11, who are outstanding Academic candidates but, through financial circumstances, are unable to take up or maintain a place at Sunshine Coast Grammar.
Candidates for Principal’s Scholarship apply as Academic candidates. The Principal’s Scholarship is means tested. Short-listed candidates will be asked to furnish evidence of their financial circumstances in order to be eligible.
Music Scholarships
Music Scholarships
ÎÄÐù̽»¨ has an impressive and flourishing Music Program and as such, we continue to provide a limited number of exclusive Music Scholarship opportunities each year. Scholarships are offered to students of a high level of performance on all instruments and/or voice.
Auditions open for all instruments, including, Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Piano and Vocal.
Students are required to submit a short video performance on their chosen instrument/s at the time of application to
scholarships@scgs.qld.edu.au.
Students will be shortlisted from these audition tapes. Successful short listed applicants will be required to attend and invitation only in-person audition in March 2024.
Successful students are required to contribute meaningfully to Grammar Music through commitment to Music ensembles at the school, community performances, eisteddfods and any other performance opportunities as required by the Director of Music.
Sporting Scholarships
Sporting Scholarships
ÎÄÐù̽»¨ highly values and supports students who are passionate about sport. As a school we are proud to offer Sport Scholarship opportunities for students entering Year 7 to Year 11 in 2025.
We are committed to supporting aspiring athletes as they work to achieve their goals and have introduced our Roar Performance program to assist them on their sporting journeys, all successful applicants will be automatically accepted into our Roar Performance Program.
Students applying for a Sports Scholarship should demonstrate evidence of representation in their sport/ sports at a high level (regional, state or national level) and a commitment to representing Grammar with passion and purpose. There is an expectation that scholarship holders will represent the school in both school and club sports (where an applicable club team exists).

Teacher Education Scholarships
The PMSA Teacher Education Scholarships are now open for 2025.
This is a great opportunity for our graduates looking to pursue a future career in teaching and early childhood education.
Applications close on Friday 25 October 2024 with interviews in early November and scholarships offered in December.
