Outdoor Education
ÎÄÐù̽»¨ offers an excellent outdoor education program for its students.
Camps which make up the outdoor education program comprise an increasing level of challenge as the student matures and are designed to complement the academic and social development of students. Additionally, these camps endeavour to promote qualities of self-reliance, initiative, cooperation, confidence, leadership and the capacity to deal with significant emotional and physical challenges.
Relationships between students and between staff and students are enhanced, as are individuals’ self-esteem and confidence. Most importantly, all of these objectives are achieved in a safe and fun environment.

Primary School
Prep
Students have a full day camp at Chambers Island. Parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to join in the day’s activities.
Year 1
Students participate in a ‘Camp Day’ at Ewen Maddock Recreation Centre. Parents are welcome to attend.
Year 2
Students participate in an overnight ‘Camp Out’ on the School grounds. Parents attend.
Year 3
Students participate in a 2 day /1 night camp at Luther Heights Youth Camp at Coolum.
The focus is to develop independence through this first overnight camp experience. Parents are welcome to attend during the day. Dormitory accommodation.
Year 4
Students participate in a 3 day / 2 night camp at the Mapleton Centre. The focus of the camp is on involving the students in outdoor activities and team building. Dormitory accommodation.
Year 5
Students participate in a 3 day / 2 night camp at Marantha Recreation Camp, Yandina.
The focus of the camp is on involving students in outdoor activities and leadership initiatives. Students accommodated in dormitories.
Year 6
Students participate in a 3 day / 2 night camp at the Tuchekoi Camp on the edge of the Mary Valley.
The focus of the camp is on involving the students in more challenging outdoor activities and bringing together the five keys of You Can Do It. Dormitory accommodation and overnight camp out.
Secondary School
Year 7
Students participate in a 3 day/2 night camp at Currimundi Recreation Centre. The focus of the camp is on team-building and challenge. Dormitory accommodation.
Year 8
Students participate in a 4 day/3night camp in Cooloola National Park. The focus of the camp is on leadership and team building. Students sleep in tents.
Year 9
Students participate in a 6 day/5night trip to Sydney/Canberra. Students travel by plane. Dormitory/Motel accommodation.
Year 10
Students participate in a 4 day/3night camp in Cooloola National Park. The focus of the camp is on leadership and team building. Students sleep in tents.
Year 11
Students participate in a 4 day/3night camp at Brookfield. The focus of the camp is on leadership. Dormitory accommodation.
